v0.5.3.36 - January 1, 2014



UPDATE


The holidays have not been as kind to my time as I'd hoped. So many little things. This release is very minor. Among some bug fixes, I finally added persistence for certain game settings between game sessions. For example, if you maximize Synekism it will be maximized the next time you start it instead of always starting with the 800x600 default window size. Please go to http://wiki.synekism.com/wiki/Ini_Settings for more details.


Let me know if there are any problems. Otherwise, the next release is slated for May 1st, 2014.


NEW FEATURES


Core:

  • Certain game settings will now be saved to a .ini file to preserve state between sessions.


BUGS


Fixed:

  • Fixed the camera going off city bounds when double clicking on distant terrain.
  • Fixed, once and for all, buildings created larger than the lot they belong to.

Known:

  • Roads can still be built overlapping each other and become un-deletable - try pressing F2-R to fix.
  • Windows XP installer does not add a Start Menu folder for Synekism, despite claiming to do so.
  • Windows might claim that Synekism froze during loading of large cities but please, disregard, and let the game load.

  • 1.8 GHz multi-core processor
  • 2 GB of system memory
  • 10 MB of hard disk space*
  • Support for DirectX 9.0c, Shader Model 2 and 128 MB of graphics memory

* This is just Synekism's installation footprint. It does not include space for any user generated content such as the city save files.


What we install:

  • Synekism v0.5.3.36
  • GPU-Z.0.7.5.exe (to check minimum hardware support - removed after installation is finished/aborted)
